David Tracey has covered politics, culture and the environment from Mongolia to Madagascar for some of the world’s leading media organizations. His reports, film and photographs have appeared in the International Herald Tribune, the Economist, the Globe and Mail, CBC Radio, ABC-TV and many other places.
He writes and lectures on media awareness and interpretation, and has experience teaching media literacy skills to audiences in countries around the world.
He is the former broadcast host of WritingLife, a live-streaming interview show on writers and their work beamed from a floating cyberden in Vancouver. Interview subjects included storytellers from around the world, the interpreter for the Dalai Lama, Canada’s first Poet Laureate, a dog psychologist, a crop circle specialist and a Muslim imam discussing the real meaning of 9/11.
